WoodridgeMen Leaders
Dan Brun and his wife, Susie, have been a part of the
Woodridge family for over nine years and reside in the Rockford area. When
he is not herding their four young children, Dan enjoys hunting, fishing and just
about anything outdoors. Dan's favorite scripture passage is John
7:37-39 which says, "...If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him..." Dan's mentor is Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ; where Dan makes a living ministering to young people on college campuses, exercising his passion to see men of all ages grow into
Christ-likeness.
Darren
Bearson has been attending
Woodridge Church since September 2007. He recently began co-leading the Men's Ministry at Woodridge Church, helping organize events, casting vision and recruiting. Darren and his beautiful wife, Sonya, have two sons - Ben and
? (coming in March). After working in government and politics his entire career (including a stint on Capitol Hill and at the White House!) Darren recently opened his own company in Wayzata, focusing on political consulting. "[My mentor] Dave Buehring with Lionshare
Leadership Group has walked through the ups and downs of the last few years
with me. He always shows me how God is working in my life. My favorite Scripture passage is Proverbs 3:5-6 - These are verses I go to
when I feel lost." A fun fact about Darren: He has flown on Air Force One on
multiple occasions.
Brad Broom serves to provide support for Under Construction, the Men’s Mentoring Ministry. A commercial insurance broker for Brown &
Brown, Brad moved to Minnesota
from warm and sunny Santa Barbara,
California; and claims to "love every minute of
it". Perhaps it's because last May, Brad married his wonderful wife Elizabeth! Brad says, "Paul Johnson and Robert Bjork have continuously
supported and encouraged my transition to what my brother-in-law, Drew, refers to as God’s Country." Brad's favorite scripture verse is Isaiah
53:5, which reminds us of God’s constant love and the price He paid for us. Brad loves to play golf and his favorite course ever
to play is Pebble Beach.
